Villa Paola is situated in the very heart of an exclusive area of summer retreats. Surrounded by an extensive garden and protected by trees, its position is high enough above the south-west shores of Lake Garda to offer stunning views across Italy’s largest lake
It is situated between an ancient monastery on the edge of the unspoilt village of San Felice del Benaco and the busy resort of Manerba where the mighty Rock of Manerba makes a stark, interesting skyline. Snowcapped mountains across the lake are visible but Villa Paola enjoys Lake Garda’s Mediterranean microclimate. Within a short walk are green hills, olive groves and vineyards where guests can wander. Supermarkets are easily accessible.
Inside there is an immense common living area which opens to the terrace, blurring the distinction, for those who choose, between inside and out to have breakfast or to relax watching TV , listening to good music or reading the newspaper.
John, our resident artist, is also happy to offer a comprehensive programme of painting and drawing based on local landscapes and landmarks. Lessons are available to those who would like a little technical guidance in watercolour or oil painting. Excursions and field trips will (until further notice) be arranged as required. For full details of courses and workshops please visit John’s own site at: www.kwiblet.com
